Shades of Grey

While 50 Shades of Grey is at the top of the book top selling lists, grey (in all it's shades) is a great color all year long. By layering the different shades of grey, you can create a classy ensemble while staying within the same neutral color scheme. Most of your favorite styles are available in a basic shade such as grey, which makes it so easy to add to your wardrobe and mix and match the styles. Start with a pair of black jeans (as seen below) and add a bunch of grey tops, scarves, and blazers to bring the book series to life right in your closet!

Black and Blue

A couple years ago it was deemed as a major fashion faux pas to put black and blue together. Today, on and off the runway, it is a great color coordination that you can dress up or dress down regardless of the function and of course, your budget. Let your accessories set the tone for the festivities- casual or formal by pairing with pearls, flats, heels, or boots! Having white or nude as your accent color to the blue and black offers a contrast that says classy all the way.

Ace it with Lace

Lace is such an elegant fashion statement regardless of the style or season! A simply pair of clean skinny jeans will be the backdrop to a dainty fashionable canvas you create with lace. Lace is always in style and can be worn as a top as well as accessorizing such as with a pair of ballet flats or a great bag. It's a breathable fabric too, so even in the summer it can be worn so elegantly!

Accessorize a la Nails

Nail design and art is quickly becoming a way of accessorizing aside from the normal accessorizing of jewelry, shoes, scarves, and hats. It's a fun and unique way to stylize your look from day to day. Choose from popular brands such as Julep, Essie, OPI, China Glaze, and NARS. Mix and match, use tools like toothpicks, eyedroppers, and rhinestones to customize your looks and nail colors!

Seeing Spots

You know how horizontal stripes, zig zags, and lines can either look GREAT on you, or not be the best for your figure? You don't have to worry about that with polka dots! Minnie Mouse's costume always came to mind for me, however after seeing so many fun polka dot dresses, skirts, and tops at local stores like H & M, Charlotte Russe, and Forever 21-- I really am sold! They look great and are very flattering to an array of body types. Modern meets vintage classic. My wardrobe is seeing spots' n' dots in all styles and colors this season-- how about yours?
