The Basics: The Quintessential Blouse

Look in any style guide, and you will see every one recommends a white blouse / button down shirt as one of the most versatile items in your closet. For some people this is 100% true.  A beautifully simple button down with a collar is perfect for their closet. But before you drop into your local Brooks Brothers, consider what fits into your life and your closet. Will that very conservative blouse match your whimsical skirts, or your denim skinny jeans?
